LOCATION: All locations of the Grand Rapids Public Library
HOURS:20 - 30 hours/week (weekend and evening hours will be required)
RATE OF PAY: $12.5167 - $13.5410 per hour

Job Summary

This position involves general cleaning of the Library facilities with some maintenance requirements as directed by the Facility Manager. All of the work is performed under the general supervision of the Facility Manager. The position requires the ability to travel to various different locations to perform the tasks.


Duties and Responsibilities


Working Conditions

The employee must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time in the performance of the duties associated with this position. Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance is also required. The ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer is essential to this position.


Education

Completion of high school and five years of experience in building maintenance and custodial work, including some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
